Dan O'Brien

 

Dan has been with XL 950 since August of 2009 where he started as an intern – known as the “Traveling Intern Extraordinaire.” In January of 2010, he was hired on part-time and picked up more responsibilities. He has been a show producer and a guest show host on several occasions. Currently, Dan is an Account Executive for advertising sales, handles the website and social media, helps with promotions, and continues to produce.
 

He is a graduate of Butler University where he studied Organizational Communications and Spanish. He also spent a semester studying in Seville, Spain. It wasn’t until the middle of his junior year when he realized sports broadcasting was what he wanted to pursue as a career, and began taking more classes to help him get to that goal.

 

Dan is originally from Dyer, Indiana near Chicago.  He has been in Indianapolis for about six years. He is a White Sox, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and of course Butler Bulldogs fan. His favorite sports moments are the White Sox winning the 2005 World Series and going to Butler’s NCAA championship game with his dad. He currently lives on the northside of Indianapolis with his wife Anne. In his spare time he likes to golf, cook, watch copious amounts of TV, and be with friends.
